Secret Service Confirms ‘White Powder’ Found in White House

A Secret Service official said the agency is investigating a “small amount” of a “white, powdery substance” that was found just after President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, visited.

The incident led to a brief evacuation on Sunday night.

The Secret Service determined the substance was “non-hazardous”, but it tested positive for cocaine on a field test according to a radio dispatch audio from the Washington, DC fire department.

On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service Uniformed Division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area,” said Anthony Guglielmi, a Secret Service spokesman.

“The DC Fire Department was called to evaluate and quickly determined the item to be non-hazardous. The item was sent for further evaluation and an investigation into the cause and manner of how it entered the White House is pending.”

The White House declined to comment except to say that President Joe Biden was not at the White House at the time the powder was discovered.

Hunter Biden Had Just Visited

While the Bidens were not in the White House at the time, members of the first family gathered there Friday before departing Camp David for the holiday weekend.

That includes Biden’s son, Hunter, who is a recovering drug addict and has flaunted his cocaine use in pictures in the past.

Conservative commentators speculated that Hunter may be the source of the substance.

Republican Representative Jim Banks tweeted, “They never found cocaine in the Trump White House!”

However, not everyone thinks Hunter Biden is the most obvious culprit.

Matt Wallace tweeted, “The real story is actually much worse than that! Many of Joe Biden’s Top Staff regularly use Cocaine and other Hardcore Drugs.”

Radio host Mark Levin had another idea. “I am not ruling out possible members of the White House press,” he tweeted.
