The Department of Homeland Security listed pro-life mothers among radicalization suspects in an internal, choose-your-own-adventure style memo.

The memo, obtained by a conservative legal watchdog, presents profiles of domestic extremists, including a female “middle-aged pro-life advocate”, and asks employees to confront each through “real-life decisions”.

“This is Ann, a resident of Elkville in rural America,” one example reads, displaying a picture of an average looking blonde woman.

“Ann has always been religious but since the death of her mother, she’s become increasingly devout. She’s a regular in the small-town community, active in several church groups. While she has always been protective of her four kids, she has become increasingly more concerned about the welfare of other children including the unborn.”

In further scenarios that branch off of the participant’s original choice of confrontation, “Ann” asks her preacher whether “the bible justifies violence in defense of life” and calls the mayor a “baby killer”.

A last scenario asks whether “Ann’s” longtime hairdresser should research pro-life groups that “Ann” mentions or contact the sheriff about her behavior.

Other examples of potential radicalization suspects include “Courtney” a “budding conspiracy theorist” who is “fixated on government conspiracy theories regarding government connections to child abuse and trafficking”, and “Pete” an “anti-gov/authority Abusive Parent/Stepdad”.

Reed Rubinstein, America First Legal’s senior counselor, said in a statement that DHS is “out of control”.

“The Department of Homeland Security’s transformation into a domestic intelligence organization and a Stasi-like Deep State internal security apparatus is alarming,” he said.

“It is a very long way from ‘see something, say something’ regarding an unattended suitcase at the airport to profiling patriotic and politically conservative Americans as abusive parents and domestic terrorists because they oppose abortion on demand and voted for former President Trump.”

The Department of Homeland Security has not addressed the material.
